Smallville: Season 11
review 1: Bizzare speed storms are breaking out all over the world, super-speeding random people then draining them of life. An old friend returns to help Superman uncover the cause and put a stop to this menace.Meanwhile Lex Luthor is making use of the memory device previously seen in the Smallville TV series, to try to tap into the memories of Tess Mercer, who's consciousness is currently trapped in his head. Time is growing short for Tess as she tries to contact her former alliesSmallville season 11 seems to be getting better and better as the series progresses. This episode see's the return of Impulse and a foray into "Flash mythology" It's difficult to review this without giving too much away. But there's some great geek-out moments in this book, among them a visit to the JSA h... moreeadquarters, the appearance of Black Flash, and an appearance by Jay GarrickFantastic read. 4/5
review 2: I hadn't been a big fan of the first few seasons of Smallville on TV. I got into the series towards the end when it started feeling more like the DCU.This book was fun, it drew on both the TV series and the preceding volumes to carry a solid story that kept me entertained. I particularly liked the serial feel. Now all I need to do is either wait for the next volume, or go grab the digital-first issues of what follows on.Good stuff. less
