review 1: I like Stephine as Batgirl but this comic had problems that were out of her hands. Barbra was being espectially moody here and it wasn't helpful for her character or Stephenie. This was also one of the comics with Dick Grayson as Batman but acting like a jerk. Maybe it's the suit. Add with that a lack of bad guys and Damian Wayne doing is normally annoying routine and poor Stephine Brown doesn't get the fun series she deserves.
review 2: Written by Smallville regular Bryan Q. Miller, Batgirl is a new series about Stephanie Brown as she tries to carry on the mantle the previous Batgirl left behind. Stephanie enters college and tries to hold up to standard with Cassandra Cain's tough but silent approach, but she'll need Oracle's help if she is to succeed.I really
... more liked this collection. The writing is solid, a nice mix of some previous rogues and further adventures of fan favourite Stephanie Brown. I really didn't like her in the War Games story arc, but she can manage her own interesting story lines when its told right.I heard volume 2 is super rare so I'll have to go and find that one before I can continue. less
