review 1: 3.5 stars. After making my way through 11 of these books for a challenge, I discovered this series mostly sticks to a certain pattern. Big, strong, man paired with a "little" man. A defined top and bottom. A fair amount of sex. Big problems, easy solutions. Insta-love. Even though these stories are formulaic, I couldn't help but get sucked into the charm of Cattle Valley and its residents. I liked catching up with the other couples, and of course, seeing that big Mary Sue about town, Nate."Snake Charmer" follows the formula. Snake or Riley barely know each other's names before they were hopping into bed and having the most meaningful sex of their lives. Snake intercedes when Riley is threatened by an abusive ex. Only one place to take him for his safety -- Cattle Valley, o... moref course, where everyone is welcome and you're sure to meet he man of your dreams. Were Riley and Snake a believable couple? No. Did I buy into their love? Not really. Will I be reading more from this series? Yes. You have to take these couples at face value.I was most intrigued with Guy. His fate was left up in the air. I'm hoping that's not the last we see of him. I'd love to see him star in his own story.
review 2: As usual Carol Lynne did not disappoint. I was given a copy of this book for my honest review. I was wondering when snake would get his story and was so glad that he and Ryan cleared things up. I was also happy that Snake was able to find someone to love. The only problem I had with this book was IT WAS TOO SHORT!!!! Lol. I would have loved to reaf more. Ms. Lynne's characters are not all perfect. I love tosee teal people with real problems fall in love or stay in love despite hardships. Keep the great work coming!!! less
