review 1: Nice read, no real outside conflict which was great. No major internal angst either, which wasn't as great. What little there was was quickly resolved which I liked, but it did end up making it feel like this was being dragged out. I did really like the relationship with Damian and Nick, Nick did get a little irritating but it never lasted too long. Side characters were likable. Loved all the photography scenes. Oh and I wish that it had been more obvious when a scene changed, there was no indication at all, I kept having to go back and re-read and realize "Oh wait they changed scenes."
review 2: Know that moment when you finish a book and you just think to yourself, "What the f*ck did I just read?"Well that's exactly what happened to me. I have to admit I was
... moreactually interested in this book after I saw the cover, silly, I know, but then I saw the reviews and decided to give it a try. Oh how wrong I was...I didn't enjoy this at all, it was a promising idea but it just didn't deliver. The narration was horrible.I bugged me the hell out that they kept referring to Damian as 'the older man' he was 32 for god sakes' and 'the photographer' I felt complete detached from the story and the characters, I just couldn't make myself feel something. Only thing I was interested in was the shooting, I'd pay money to see a catalogue like the one 'made' on this book. less

A D+s on the softer side. A very sensual and yet sweet read.

DNF. Couldn't get into it. Seemed unrealistic.
