review 1: I enjoyed this book as a quick refresher on ways to gets things done and have more confidence doing them. I thought in some aspects of the book, the author was a bit too casual. ... morend believing as well as pratice, using a few simple clichés combined with a stylistic antiquated sense of humor, silly but authentic. But why believe my review? I'm just a college graduate having studied International Relations, was an IT technician with a community hospital, was a manager of manufacturing for an international corporation, I've only published eight novels and five short stories, traveled the world, lived in fifteen countries and experienced their cultures, was a mercenary turned philanthropist, raised a son who has an excellent career with a global law firm in San Francisco...so, why believe my review?Writers have goals, whether it is to entertain, educate, degrade, humiliate or dehumanize. Writers take ownership yet many writers don't take responsibility for that ownership. My main goal as a writer is to enlighten. I use bravery, confidence, acceptance and permission to relay my opinion and criticism, hopefully without judgmental ignorance and stupidity. It's Not About the Tights is a quick uncomplicated, elemental workbook to jump-start those of us who have become lazy, but it's up to the reader to activate the workbook. less
