review 1: This might just be my favorite of the series so far. However, I did feel that it ended rather abruptly. It was difficult to hear about Whitney cutting into Thorn repeatedly and all the other things he did to her. It was one thing to experiment by altering their genes, another to have a breeding program where the women were captives, and yet another to cut into children in the name of science. I'm looking forward to going back and reading the earlier novels that I skipped over. Also really looking forward to what's to come in the series.
review 2: When I picked this book up I couldn't put it down at first. The characters and concept of the story were unique and interesting but as I got further into the story it started turning into a porn. I don't mind a few par... morets of the book to be filled with sexual descriptions, but for it to last more than 50 pages, full blown descriptions of what they were doing in bed I could have done without. I didn't end up finishing this book because I didn't feel it was worth my time to find out what happened to these two main characters. I would have given the book a chance of it didn't waste so much of my time with the sex scenes. The concept of them being paired is interesting and the characters having special abilities was awesome. If the book were more balanced between action and sex then I believe it would make for a 3 or 4 star book. less
