review 1: I really loved Christopher Pike books when I was a child, so I figured I'd love to read his adult books. I was so wrong. This book just seemed to go on forever and it seemed to make me really glad I am human.. SO THIS WOULD END. Just about every cliche about vampires is in here, the only 'twist' is that the main character is female. She is also one of the most narcissistic, self-serving beings I have ever read.. Oh wait.. This woman could be Bridget Jones as a vampire! That's who this woman reminded me of. Never have I been more proud to be human, for there to be an ending. Sadly.. this book (all almost 600 pages) is just 1 of SEVERAL in this series.. I cry for those who will carry the torch and read more of this atrocity.
review 2: Do you like mystery? If you... more do then the Thirst series by Christopher Pike is for you. The main character is an old vampire named Alisa Perne but when she was a young vampire her name was Sita. In the first book she falls in love with a mortal who she soon turns into a vampire. She has another fight with another vampire named Eddie. I love this book. It sucked me in (Haha get it sucked….vampire book lol ) I could not put the book down because of the drama and how each chapter ended with a cliffhanger. This would be a book for young-adults who can handle the detail of people getting badly hurt and killed. This book was everything I thought it would be. less
