Is he real or a figment of her battered psyche?Wonderfully written you are sucked into the rabbit hole where up is down and the night is day. Where this novella will lead you is certainly dark and definitely has demons lurking! Without spoilers all I can say is read this if you enjoy a mind f**k, that leaves you a... moreching for more.
review 2: 4 and a half stars. This is the prequel to Snare, it gives you a little insight into the mind of Lillith. Lillith is in a mental institute and spends the time that she is there seeing her hero Sebastian Brand, she talks with him, feels him and is obsessed with him and he makes her feel safe. “I’m safe here. Sebastian is near me. He’ll keep me safe.” We get to find out a little bit about where she was before she was in the mental institute, we know that she was on holiday with her friend Ashley and that Ashley is also in the same place as Lillith. On the holiday a note is placed in her things that she and Ashley choose to ignore. Things start to go wrong from there. The further we dive into Lillith’s mind the more complicated things get, it seems as though she is the key to Ashley being there. She just doesn’t know why, she keeps hitting walls when she tries to remember. She only remembers parts of her life before. “They wronged her … I wronged her … and I can’t make it up to her. I can’t tell anyone anything … because I don’t know.” Lillith doesn’t seem to know what is real and what isn’t, the only consistent thing in her time there is Sebastian. He visits her and controls the time that they have together, the scenes between them can get steamy to read. Sebastian makes her feel safe, she doesn’t feel like she is normal. “Where I come from, there is no normal, only chaos.” He leaves notes and also the thing that she needs. She wants her freedom and he gives that to her. Or does he? Leaving the institute with one goal in mind, Lillith goes looking for Sebastian. When she finds him, will he have the answers she needs or is this all in her mind? This was a great read and had me gripped from the start. I can’t wait to dive straight into Snare and find out what happens next for Lillith and Sebastian. I want to know what happened to her and Ashley, how they got where they are and to find out if it is all in her mind. Well done Clarissa Wild on a gripping read.  “One way or another, Sebastian and I will find our way back to each other; its only a matter of time.” less
