review 1: B is recruited with other Angels to take some human survivors to a settlement. She meets with an old school friend, Vinyl, who works as a guide. They learn that the KKK have come over to England and are starting to run rampant and recruit amongst the settlements. B realizes that the settlement that she just left is going to be attacked by the KKK when she follows a sheep dog to the Owl Man. They head back to the settlement to intervene, but the KKK get there first. The Angels scale the wall and go in to fight.
review 2: Anyone with a taste for zombies will love this series featuring a tough-as-nails protagonist named B, and some positive takes on zombies. A brief introduction brings readers up to speed, and the action never stops. In this installment B and... more some fellow Angels (good zombies who have been revitalized, set off on a mission to bring several human survivors to a safe place. Their path is dangerous since they must go through streets and areas filled with zombies who will certainly attack the humans if they realize what they are. But even after the mission is completed, B must return to the sanctuary since a band of white supremacists is en route to the safe place. Readers will find plenty of humor and gore as well as a bit of philosophy in the book's pages--and just when someone thinks he/she is safe, beware. Darren Shan is very, very good at this sort of thing, teasing his readers along from plotline to plotline. less
