review 1: Had to ruminate on this one for a day. I wasn't really convinced I was going to read the second one, once all the zombie stuff actually got going. It's a little gorier than I like my zombie books, even with skimming the gore there seemed to be a lot. But then the end had 2 really great plot twist that were cleverly done and interesting enough that I think I might be convinced to bump up my star rating from a 3 to a 4, and to read the second one.

... moreage to make sure what I thought I read was really what I read. It was that unexpected, I felt that it was a little slow in the beginning what I expected to be inundated with zombies from the. Beginning. I did like that it his series seems to tackle some very real and uncomfortable topics that teens deal with today. I hated B's father, but I guess that was the point. I wished the book was longer, but I guess that since it is YA, I understand that. Anyway, I thought it was a good book, if a little slow to start and a little too short. But a good, fast, unexpected read. less

Very gory and deals with major issues. But it was a good and easy read!
