review 1: Another slam dunk. Fast-paced and action packed, this one is as good as the others. ****Spoilers**** I have mixed feelings about Rose hooking up with Mason. We kinda knew it was coming, but it's awfully fast. Mason does grow on me and I like him; part of me is still holding out for Joe. Though at this point it seems like an impossibility. I feel bad for the guy. His parents have ruined his life. Seriously though, what would it be like to have two hot eligible bachelors want you so bad? (Not to mention several others on the periphery.) Almost a little unbelievable.
review 2: What more can Rose endure? It seems plenty. After nearly being killed again, Rose finds herself with a broken heart and made with her sister. She strives very hard at working t... moreo put her life back together again. She puts all of her focus in her work and trying to keep her employee and friend Bruce Wayne out of trouble. Until one day he goes missing. A midst all this, a new love is on her doorstep. Mason Deveraux is patiently waiting for Rose to work through her past but unfortunately her past with bad guy Daniel Crocker is creeping in again. Crocker's escaped from prison and not only is he out to get revenge on Rose for putting him away, she fears Bruce Wayne is helping him. Failing as if she's been used, Rose turns to the only person she can trust to save her life. Mason does what he can, but even he isn't sure who to trust.This turns into another wonderful installment in the Rose Gardner series. Each novel gets a bit edgier and a bit sexier. Rose is just as kindhearted as always but we see her grow enough to stand up to those around her who have controlled her life in the past. The story is fresh and well flushed out and the mystery is getting harder and harder to figure out with each subsequent story. I hope Swank continues to write Rose's stories and I look forward to the new installment coming out in June. less
