review 1: In my book Thirty and a Half Excuses by Denise Swank, Rose is still getting in the middle of mystery situations such as, murder. This a continuation of my series, I have been reading since the summer. I really like this series because he is mysterious and has some romance. Rose has a boyfriend name Joe and in this book he is hiding something from her, but could not tell her last time he saw her because he ran out of time. Im ready to see what he is hiding from Rose. This book will have you thinking a million things at once from one incident. At the end of the 2 books I have read so far in this series, I never wanted to stop reading them. I did not care where I was I would read the book. I want to end up reading all of the books in this series. I have looked at some of the ... moreother books by Denise Swank and I want to read those series to. Its so many books I want to read but I do not have time. I have never heard of my author but she is a GREAT author so far. I can not wait to read another one of her series.
review 2: I am officially addicted to this series. And this book is the best so far. Though I'm not sure how one person (Rose) can survive everything she's been through up to this point. Holy cow. Lots of action and plenty of drama, this one does not disappoint. Except for the ending. ****Spoiler**** But I guess that depends if you're pro Joe or not. I like the guy, and my heart was breaking for he and Rose at the end. I've glanced at a few other reviews and I think people are judging him a little too harshly. He really is stuck in a rock and a hard place. I think the political power his parents wield and hold over his head are not to be trifled with, and out of anxiety/fear--mostly for Rose--he did what he thought would ultimately protect her. He put her first, even if it means they will both be miserable. I hope he finds a way to wiggle out of the blackmail his parents are threatening; there was just no way he could figure that out in 24 hours. I like Mason too, he has definitely grown on me, but I'm rooting for Joe. less
