review 1: I've been listening to this book in the car on my way to and from work. I would give it 3 1/2 stars. I found it challenging to listen to the audio because it kept jumping people and decades and I had to keep trying to remember which character had which background since the stories kept stopping in the middle. I did think that it had an interesting twist in the ending (I won't ruin the surprise) which I did not entirely see coming. However, I don't know if the story is completely logical or believable for Livvy and David. It felt a little unrealistic.
review 2: Meh- I had a problem with this book from the beginning and I don't think it was the authors fault. I don't like weak willed ladies so the protagonist wasn't my favorite. SPOILERS!!!!!: Crappy child
... morehood = flawed woman. Who seems destined to repeat her childhood with her lover. The story was fun in that you don't realize that the Anna story is really about the main character, at least I didn't. But I was fed up with Livvi's willingness to take all sorts of crap from Andrew just so she could save a metaphorical self in the character of a not surprisingly named child "Grace". Blast and Botheration. Livvi needs to grow a set of balls as big as Micah's and DTMFA and go live in happiness with David. Micah needs to make restitution and quit bellyaching about her breasts and deal with life. Andrew needs to take back his balls from his mother and wife who seem to share them equally and leave. Jack needs to grow a pair of balls and take on his responsibility and Anna needs to also get a testicular graft and kick Jack to the curb. This book was brought to you by the letter Y and the word "Guilt". If everyone in this book had a nice backbone surgically implanted all would be well. less
