review 1: This is the creepiest thriller I've read in a long time, and my family is always saying I'm desensitized by how many horror, supernatural, and murder mysteries I read. Carrisi does a good job of interweaving minute details throughout his book, and by the time I finished after midnight I had to get online to distract myself from the tingling at the back of my neck of the possibility of someone watching from the darkness outside of my bedroom.
review 2: Dal punto di vista lessicale, il libro è scritto in maniera un po' troppo semplicistica. Dal punto di vista emotivo non riesce assolutamente a coinvolgere, si rimane sempre come spettatori inerti di una galleria di personaggi descritti solo in superficie (ad esempio il personaggio di Sarah Rosa è inguardabile), ... moresoprattutto il serial killer per "procura". Mi aspettavo che andasse a finire così sin dall'inizio tutta la vicenda Mila-sua storia-Gavila-sua famiglia. Le altre vicende sono tutte sempre trattate in modo poco approfondito, quasi buttate là (vedi ad esempio il ritrovamento dell'ultima ragazza). L'unica sorpresa accettabile è la natura particolare del killer, ma andava sfruttata in modo più strutturato e completo. Mi dispiace solo che per una volta mi sono fatta influenzare e l'ho comprato sull'onda del battage pubblicitario delle prime recensioni entusiastiche. less
