review 1: This is a read very much in the style of Dan Brown and his "mysteries" involving ancient rites and traditions of the Catholic church. In this story, someone is giving the opportunity for revenge to persons who have been affected by crime involving the loss of a loved one. It jumps around and is, in places, hard to follow, but I would encourage you to stick with it. Very fine writing with a plot more convoluted than my brain could ever imagine.
review 2: The title is a bit misleading. The lost girls are merely a lead in. A police woman who husband died five months ago, begins to investigate his death. That's one plot line. A priest is also in estimating. That's another plot line. Their two stories intersect and become entwined. The setting is Rome and beautif
... moreully described. I did have occasional trouble keeping track of the two plot lines and the trips back in history. However, this was a unique story, cleverly written, and it enjoyed getting to the end when all the twists were revealed. less
