review 1: This is a really great book with few errors that I found. Kaala (the main character) is truly awesome and a very likeable character. I easily felt myself fall for her and I really didn't have hard time at all digesting her decisions. She's not stupid and she does the best she can to understand the many secrets kept in her world. This had a really great ending, and I'd recommend it to anyone. I'm definitely reading the next one.
review 2: Promise of the Wolves was an amazing book and I highly recommend this to anyone who loves wolves. I read it in 6 six days which is fast for me since I've been in a reading slump for a while now. It was definitely a book that kept me interested all the way to the end and I need to get my hands on the second one now. We get to see
... more things from the eyes of the main character, Kaala. She is a wolf who’s very birth was forbidden since her mother was not the mate of the leaderwolf, Ruuqo. Her litter mates are killed before her eyes and just before Ruqqo can kill her as well she is spared by the Greatwolves who make the rules for all of wolf kind and speak with the ancients. Kaala’s mother is banished and now the young pup must now be part of a pack with a leader who hates her, and pups who want her gone. As she grows she finds that she is drawn to the humans but there is a covenant that wolf and human must never come together. However, when Kaala rescues a human girl from drowning in the river, everything changes. We follow Kaala’s journey as she tries to gain acceptance into the pack and be with her human as well. What she doesn’t know, is that her role in the future wolf and human kind is far greater than she could ever have imagined. less
