review 1: I usually enjoy Dorothy Koomson's book, but this one was very very annoying. It started off well but at some point it lost all it's pace and the story just got very irritating. Not to mention the shallow and look-a-like characters - Serena and Poppy only differ in their skin tone and on what luck decided for them. I'm actually a little mad at myself for forcing myself to finish it. There are better things to do than to read this kind of sentimental scandal.
review 2: I had seen the tv adaptation first which was unfortunate because I enjoyed that more. I found this book very readable which is what expected from a D. Koomson novel.
