review 1: 3.5 stars. I like the storyline and good writing but SPOILER vent (and I usually avoid them). I don't care how you grow up, Scott it a little unrealistic for an 18 year old. He is childlike in his hobbies and things he likes but seriously cleaning up addicts, etc, as if they would listen to him alone. A little too unrealistic. And really, you have this strong woman character who finds out that her boyfriend hid from her for five days and seriously wanted her in his life but wouldn't include her in a big decision such as naming yourself as the father of an ex's when she died, but she doesn't yell. He had no respect for her in the end. Just gave her an ultimatum. Not saying she shouldn't have agreed to stay with him but with nothing. Seriously just sad given who the... more author developed in Scarlett. Serious let down,as Scarlett seemed to digress too much at the end.
review 2: Sweet baby Jesus I've said it before and I'll say it again. Elle Casey you're my favorite! Another fantastic read by a talented author! By Degrees was a fantastic page turner and had me on the verge of tears, laughing, and smiling like a crazy person the whole time. Enjoyed it immensely and it was a breath of fresh air for me, with such a different story. I just loved Scarlett's job. She was BA. Tarin, Scott and the rest of the crew were amazing! Loved it all! Brilliant read. less

My favorite part-is the reason behind "degrees" things don't happen all at once- made me smile.
