review 1: I just finished this, having started to read a glut of Elly Griffiths. What can't I say about these books. I love how the characters and the storyline is progressing from book to book. I see parallels between myself and Ruth, as we are of a similar age and single! I like the character. Its great to see a book written about a strong, independent woman. This is interesting in that it fuses a story that touches on WW2 and the former Yugoslavia and sites the story in a tiny English village. Great.
review 2: Another who-dunnit involving single mom forensic archaeologist Ruth Galloway and her partner in crime, DCI Harry Nelson. Just love the supporting quirky cast as they try to help Ruth and Nelson uncover the identity of six men long immersed in the waters off a r
... moreocky coast in Norfolk and unravel what led to their apparent murders some seventy years before during WWII. What transpires is a tapestry of family, love, loss and the spoils of war and those bent on preserving the dignity of decisions made when faced with the "enemy". less
