review 1: I'm about half way through and loving it! It's so rare to find an author who can write a 5 book long series and it still be engaging and unpredictable on book 5. Gail Carriger never ceases to amaze me with her humor, she even uses the language choices to her advantage. I LOVE Prudence!!!!!! She is just like my little sister, except for the metanatural part! I am excited to continue but am very sad that it will be over!!!!!!!!!!!!
review 2: What an interesting end to this series! It's still frivolous and manic in the adventure, there is still a hefty focus on the importance of tea, and I love the inclusion of families and children in adventures! I love Lord Akeldama as a doting father, and the description of bathtime horrors! I love the way Ivy becomes a qu... moreeen as part of the resolution in the end - how marvellously unexpected and just thing to balance out Lord Akeldama's influence given his successful shifting of Countess Nadasdy out to the middle of nowhere :P I like how things ended for the book, the story arc and characters it was very satisfying. less
