review 1: the book is about the discovery of a dead sea scroll by the jack Cane which mentions Jesus Christ directly which has not found before on any dead sea scroll before as well as describes some ground-breaking revelations. then a cat and mouse chase starts with the Israeli Intelligence Mossad and a rich underground Mafia. meanwhile vatican has elected the new pope who has a dark past related with Jack Cane and about to execute his plan to change the history of the Church. book gives a very fluid and lucid story telling. worth reading.
review 2: begins at a fair old pace. sort of winds down before the end. has a lot of what i want from these sorts of books - a big potential secret, a large cast of characters, conflicting loyalties, the catholic church (it would be n... moreice for another organisation to be used but hey ho). arab and iseali tension, lost love. far off places.the author has thrown the kitchen sink into this one. and mostly it is enjoyable hokum. then it just seems to slow and come to a juddering alt. a few times in the book you want to shout 'of course it is important' as everyone wonders at the importance of the secret - when the reader is going 'yah pretty explosive'. silly and enjoyable fun. less
