review 1: This book is a MESS!!! It bounced all over the place and suffered from poor plot development as well as random, disconnected sub-plots and bits of info that never quite connected. First they were childhood sweethearts. Then they were going to use eachother as covers from the mamas of the ton. Then she doesn't want to marry. Then she has a dark secret that is oddly developed in spurts. SPOILER--- she was raped/misled by a known cad and yet her family takes her back to the site/scene of the incident?!?!? The heroine doesn't tell the hero, and there's no discussion a out the incident (how she coped, felt, recovered). There some hint that she fell from the horse following her dramatic escape, but this story line for all it's importance is never explained or resolved. There is ... morea passing mention that she was unable to walk for months - casually thrown in for about 3 paragraphs and then never mentioned again. It's one thing when a plot twists & turns to develop the characters or move the story along, but this was just random unconnected points of passing interest that never quite connected to the story. The fractures became distracting. Also, there were so many cameos from previous books, that those also became distractions. Very disappointed. Not sure if I will read more from either series.
review 2: While Eve and Lucas's love story evokes themes of redemption and forgiveness, the deeper insight into the relationship between the Duke and Duchess combined with meddling by Joseph, Louisa, and Jenny makes Lady Eve's Indiscretion a multifaceted tale about letting go of the past. The obviousness of the identity of the villain is the only thing that kept this from being a 5-star read for me. less

New author, good book. I thought it was a bit slow but it was a good story line.

It was so cute and one of the nicest heroes I've read so far too.
