review 1: St. Just is the perfect flawed character. Trying to find peace is proving to be an issue though, especially after having been fighting against old Boney. However, thanks to an Earldom that has recently been given him, he's now on his way to finding that peace. Along with his new charge and her aunt. This tightly written, interesting tale of the soldier who came back from war only to find peace with an almost ready-made family, will delight you to no end.
review 2: What a winner! I "discovered" this author (by accident) and this was the first book I read by Grace Burrowes. The hero was suffering from PTSD (before it was diagnosed) during the Regency period. After 8 years in the military and surviving the Batle of Waterloo, he was a mess. He trembled at lo... moreud noises, had nightmares, etc. Anyway, both main characters were emotionally wounded. I liked how they healed one another and learned to trust in each other. It was realistic and refreshing. Refreshing because both were flawed. Two thumbs up! (can I use that phrase for a book?) less
