review 1: Eh not the best but then what do you expect from a short story. Nice length and the overall story line i believe would have worked if it had been longer and a bit more in depth. Nice little book to read if you want to kill a couple hours but definitely not a book i would suggest rushing to read. However it is a galaxy book, sitting on the sofa cuddled up with a cuppa, this book and a bar of chocolate would make a good night!
review 2: Review:Let's begin by saying that I only just realised that this was a sequel to A Hopeless Romantic, it seemed like it could have been a stand alone but I did feel as if I didn't know the characters enough, and that is probably the reason why. The two main characters, Laura and Nick, are in love, but are from two very different
... morewalks of life. Laura comes from a modest, city loving family, where as Nick comes from a rich heritage and lives in a country Manor House. Laura feels pressured to become something that she is not, and is always being pestered about her life with Nick by the Press. Nicks nosy family, are also trying to change her so that she becomes a much better, future bride for him. From the very beginning, you feel the struggle these characters are facing and hope that they find a way to be together without any strain put on the two of them. When an old friend of Nick's returns, Laura becomes suspicious and doubts his love for her. We follow her as she tries to get through heartbreak, self doubt and whether to let go or hold on to what she is and has. This is a lovely short story that mixes love with a slight humour and is very British with the way that it is written. I would most definitely recommend this to someone who wants to read, but doesn't know where to start. less
