review 1: This book was one of those books were you think "I'll just read this chapter and take a break" and then you end up reading for two more hours. It's sweet and it drew me in, I really fell for the main character Kate, and the book is written in a way that makes it easier to root for her the more you read. It's written and build up in a way that makes it somewhat predictable with curveballs that changes the feeling of the book.I picked it up for a quick easy read and it was in some ways, but the book is also heartbreaking and made me cry. It's funny, quick and much better than expected.
review 2: This was the first book I've read by Harriet Evans. I liked the story. Kate Miller has run away from her life in London to New York to stay with her mother and step-fath
... moreer. When she finds out that her father is having an emergency kidney transplant back in London, she knows she has to return. It is while she is back in London that we discover exactly why she has fled her life there. It was a more complicated story than I had anticipated when I first started this book and I enjoyed how the plot played out. less
