review 1: A mixture of old and young characters, who all have a story tell about there family, or to be more precise daisy the daughter who left her own baby daughter and emigrated to india. The story pulls you in and its hard to stop reading, the characters flow into each other well and talk of previous years and current time with out being confusing. There is a really mystery in this story and it got to an amazing climax .... and then finished I need part 2 I have a real feeling of needing to read the second part to find out the whys and hows of the climax it really left me on the edge of my seat.
review 2: I was invited to read this book through the publisher, on netgalley, and if I'm honest, I don't think I would have chosen it if I hadn't been invited. But I'm so g... morelad I was! This is the first of 4 parts and tells the story of Martha and David, who have a secret to share at Martha's 80th birthday party. This part of the book concentrated on building up the characters and their history ready for the big reveal in the later parts. Although not much happened, I really enjoyed it and it has left a lot of lose ends to be tied up and unfinished stories to be told. I couldn't put it down and I'm very curious to carry on reading the next part to see what is revealed. less
