review 1: Except for the dream sequence, I liked this very much. It's poignant and touching, and it made me very hungry. Loved the passage about how Tsukiko has conversations with herself. "I had a habit of acting as though I were having a conversation with someone beside me...to an invisible version of myself that I sense hovering somewhere in the room."And page one: "Taking my seat at the counter, I ordered 'Tuna with fermented soybeans, fried lotus root, and salted shallots', while the old man next to me requested 'Salted shallots, lotus root fries, and tuna with fermented soybeans' almost simultaneously.
Dabei empfindet man Liebe, Freundschaft, Neugier, Befang
