review 1: I am really enjoying the introduction of new and old characters in the last few books and can see where they may appear periodically in the future if the author continues the Eve Duncan series. Frankly, though, I was getting a bit tired of Eve's never-ending adventures and was hoping that Ms Johansen would put it to rest after they found Bonnie. I understand Catherine Ling reappears in the next book, Silencing Eve, and I am looking forward to having her back. She is a no-nonsense personality with a touch of mystery about her.
review 2: Usually love Eve Duncan mysteries, but I agree with many of the reviewers who feel this shouldn't be a trilogy. It appears to be a draft that a good editor should have saved. The plot is so drawn out and elements of he story are
... more disconnected in comparison to other Eve stories. If you read the first book, and then read this one there is nothing to add to the review...nothing has changed except to add resolution and we have to read the third one to discover what should have been in the first book. Very disappointing. less

Did not enjoy this one as much as the first in this series. It kind of dragged...
