review 1: I picked up this series a while back but refused to read it because I can't seem to handle the cliffhangers this author writes. I have been reading the Eve Duncan series for quite a few years, and it's like a fine wine....just keeps getting better. I love all the characters, but Jane has been my favorite out of all of them. Her dip between Caleb and Trevor has spiked my curiosity for some time. This book doesn't disappoint but I felt like I wanted to know Janes character better because Eve is so good at getting herself out of situations. I want more romance, and maybe Jane needs more solo books. So now I have all three books and I'm going to finish it. Overall entertainment is four stars.
review 2: Well after starting this book I discovered I'm stepping into th... moree series long into the character development. As an outsider to the Eve series, I can say there is interesting story lines happening simultaneously, but I feel I'm missing much background info (nothing that takes away from this particular story, just that there is undoubtedly a richer scope to the characters). I don't quite get why everyone is so obsessed with Eve yet. The writing style for dialog sits oddly for me, as I can't really hear people I've met talking the way this is written. It took a little getting used to. I'll continue on in the series, because the story does get pretty intense! less
