review 1: This was a good conclusion to the trilogy. I like many of the side characters better than Eve and Joe, enough so that I believe I will have to explore the offshoot series with Kendra and Catherine. I'm happy for the sense of justice, but I wish there would have been more definitive explanation of what happened to Kevin. I could have handled a brutal description of the nastiness in store for him and his crew of monsters... Where were you for those details, eh Bonnie?
review 2: Another Eve Duncan mystery. Eve has been kidnapped by ruthless James Doan. He plans to make her disappear forever to her family and friends by blowing up the Colorado cabin in which he has her so no one will be following him to his son't west coast cabin. When it is realized that Eve is st
... moreill alive, her family/friends pretend to memorialize her so they can pursue Doan to get her release. Lots of spoilers:Doan plans to kill her in front of her father Xander to cause him as much pain as he has experienced when Xander killed Doan's son Kevin. Lots of action. Some supernatural (Margaret learning things via animals and Ben having the spirit of Eve's daughter Bonnie tell him things that help). And nukes that need to be deactivated. Joe Quinn, Joe Gallo, Catherine, Jane, and more pursue their own means of finding Eve and returning her safely. Doan's former wife Harriet is the real evil in the story. less

It was good finish to this trilogy. I did get a little bored with it from the second book on...
