review 1: It's so funny when you finish one book kind of hating one character, not really hating her but hating her bitchy characteristics (talking about Liz). But as I've mentioned in The Perfect Play review, I was anticipating her "fall" as I really wanted to see that other side of hers. And damn was it something else, she was just like a perfect shell, hard on the outside with a beautiful pearl on the inside. And then there was Gavin, the sex on a stick himself. Whoa, he had all it took to unravel Liz, to make the pearl shine. I was so thrilled to see them find their happily ever after. Of course I would be me if I wasn't curious about that little piece of mancandy mr. Ty himself, so I can't wait to find out moremoremore. So I'm off to the next sequeL!
review 2: After
... more reading the first book of Jaci Burton's Play-by-Play series, I was anxious to dive into the next book of the series centered around Mick's younger brother Gavin and his agent Elizabeth. In the beginning, Elizabeth Darnell seemed exactly as the brothers painted her out to be: a cold, merciless shark who would do whatever it took to make the deal. But after she and Gavin share an unexpected night of passion, you really start to see her hard exterior crumble and give way to the kind and gentle spirit that she's been hiding for so long. I especially enjoyed the witty banter between those two characters; they challenged each other, never giving in, and it's been awhile since I've laughed out loud so much at a book. Can't wait to read the next book! less
