review 1: Not very pleased with this writer. He seems to have continuity issues. People know what other people are doing in the book but the author gives no plausible explanation how it happened. The author seems to have a problem with Christianity and wants to debunk it I think. A little late for that, the religion has been going strong for a couple of thousand years.Because of his subject matter I will read a couple of his other books.
review 2: I would probably have given this book a 3.5 stars if I could. There were definitely some "that is highly unlikely" moments but the subject matter and "mystery" made up for that. I wasn't expecting much but this book definitely surpassed expectations. Warning: this book is pretty anti-Catholic. It didn't bother me at all, but so
... moreme who do not like criticism of the church or its past would probably be better off skipping it. less

This book was not even close to The DaVinci Code but I will try this author one more time.

Interesting religious historical fiction. Reminds me of Dan Brown's DaVinci Code
