review 1: 2.5 stars for being neutral. I think this is the first completely gay book I read so I have nothing to compare it to.. so many things in here were new to me. But I still feel like there was so much more to be said. In so many sections I felt like he could've elaborated more, especially in the religions section. I think that needed more work. The book is uplifting, but I felt like it wasn't completely balanced with what is actually going on in the world.
review 2: Light-hearted and quite sarcastic book, which is good for a change. Would benefit from being a bit more inclusive and sensitive. It's very much written from the perspective of a gay man, while it claims to be for LGBTQ+. I do have to applaud for mentioning asexuality and pansexuality (which a lot of p... moreeople very conveniently ignore) in the first half, but unfortunately it isn't addressed that much in the second half of the book. less
