review 1: I find these books and stories written by James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell fascinating. While obviously fiction, it puts a modern, fresh spin on history and historical mythology that engages my mind and makes me think of things that happened in the past in a whole new way. It keeps me thinking about the events and the stories even after I finish reading them, and wanting to read more, which have to be goals for any author.
review 2: It was pretty much a filler story in between books of the Sanguine Series. Its purpose seemed to be an into to the character in the next novel.I was overall very disappointed. My advice to the followers of this series, would be to skip this one, unless you have $1 to waste. This should have been a free teaser to get you to buy... more next book.I purchased from Amazon as a ebook for $99, and it showed as 126 pg long, so fig why not. That was a misrepresentation. The story was about 25 pgs., and the rest was a sneak peak into the next novel, which I have already read. less
