review 1: Eh. I really don't like Holden. It's still fun, but it follows a similar format as the first book Here too a girl goes missing and Holden et al., help find her and there's maybe possibly war and some super secret weapons and some vomit zombies for good measure. A couple of new characters - one a marine and the other a potty mouthed politician - are both good, but don't make up for the lack of Miller who elevated the first novel. Ah well, it was a fast read and wasn't terrible. I'm committed to read the whole series. 3 stars.

... more wait... Highly entertaining stuff, highly recommendable for those who like their space opera hard, fast and full of action. Truly on of the best SciFi I've read in a long, long time. Classic stuff. less
