review 1: Okay, so I did eventually pick up the fourth, and it was really really fun. I'll definitely pick up the fifth when it comes out. Where the last (third book) was a bit slow, I'm giving this 3.5 -- fun and exciting, although it is "more of the same" in terms of plot, themes, characters, etc. Very fun, but likely forgettable (unlike the first and second books, which had some very memorable new characters and an absolutely insane intensity).
review 2: Excellent book, though when you start any of the books in this series you've got to know that you're in it for the long haul. Still, the author keeps the narrative engaging and I found myself staying up later than I should just to see what was coming next. Can't wait for the next installment and can't wait to see what... more the SyFy channel does with it, since it's apparently been picked up for a new series. less
