review 1: After the first installment, it went down hill. Memo to joint authorship series - if it's obvious who is writing which chapter, you've got some cross-editing to do. And memo to three part series crafters - make it all about the same characters or all about completely different characters set in the same universe. The worst choice is having previously dearly loved and well drawn heros getting bit part and shallow voices.
review 2: I am a huge fan of the previous two books, but as I started to get into the story of this one I thought the series might have lost a step. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by where the plot went and paid off the mystery in the end of the last book. By the end, I think I enjoyed this book more than Caliban's War and I'm an... morexious to see where the next book goes in this universe that Corey has created. less
