review 1: Finally, after much anticipation I received the third book in the forgotten Castles series. It begins where the last book left off with Gabriel and Alex going in search of her parents under the guise of their honeymoon. I really loved reading about their relationship as it continues to grow. I LOVE Gabriel! The only complaint I have with this book is that the ending was too short and the epilogue spanned too many years. I'm hoping this is because the author plans to write more adventures for these two. I also love the fact that while there is plenty of romance, their physical relationship is kept private as it should be. Great series!
review 2: 4.5 stars. I enjoyed this last book of the Forgotten Castles series. But it wasn't as exciting as I was hoping ... moreit would be. I felt that something was missing. It felt drawn out in the beginning, and while I really enjoyed the fact that Alex and Gabriel were married throughout this book, I didn't feel that there was enough to keep me glued to the page. The balloon ride was fun, though. :) It did pick up when things started to shift to Katherine and Ian's perspectives. Some of those moments twisted my stomach into knots. Jamie Carie certainly made the man holding Alex's parents captive very disgusting. Once things started happening it went by really fast. I enjoyed the ending, but I still felt like something was missing. I really don't know why. This is definitely a trilogy I will read again. Maybe my review will change the second time around. less
