review 1: I enjoy this series, despite the fact the whodunits are sometimes so obvious and so easily wrapped up. Aside from the main characters, only a few characters appear in each book, so you pretty much know it has to be one of them who did the crime. From there, it's usually pretty easy to figure out who. That said, the books are always funny, light reads, and I'm caught up in the romance between Fortune and Carter.
review 2: Well, well, well - unfortunately already the last one currently out. I did love it, Fortunes protectiveness of her friends and Carter, her taking more charge and responsibility for the messes the old birds drag her into - and of course the oh so swooning progress of her relationship with Carter. I very much liked that she worked a lot more toge... morether with him rather than against him. But it reached a point where I expect him finding out the truth about her soon, if not figuring it out him selves then at least by some other means. And I do have my doubts that it will happen soon. Still, loved it and can't wait until the next one is out. less
