review 1: From the moment rancher Jack Turner rescues Jenna Caldwell Merrick, he is determined to help her. Soon, he is doing more than tend her wounds; he is mending her heart. Jenna is a woman on the run—hunted down by her ex-husband, David Merrick, from the day she left him, taking part of his company with her, to the second she finds herself in the safety of Jack's ranch. More than just a haven, Jack's offering the love, family, and home she thought were out of reach.Jack's support will give Jenna the strength she needs to reclaim her life. The hunted will become the hunter, while David gets what he deserves, when they have an explosive confrontation in the boardroom of Merrick International. But not before Jack and Jenna enter into a fight … for their lives. This story follo... morews on Jenna, who escapes her extremely violent ex-husband and has to continue to do so again and again. After the last and the most violent attack the “Rabbit goes on the run” again. Jenna finds a safe haven. Jack Turner is her safe haven, who not only saves her life but her heart too. Now she has to stop the ex husband once and for all.A extremely violent book with a tough plot line to read. Definitely for over 16’s. Very well written, some things are totally unbelievable and takes away from the story line. Great ending though. In this story Jenna is running from her very violent ex-husband who gets sick pleasure out of hunting her around the country, then violently attacks her with a ready made alibi so the game can continue. After the last most violent attack, Jenna’s attorney sends her to the safety of the Stargazer Ranch and his old college buddy Jack to protect. Once Jack meets Jenna he wants to protect her. Jack saves Jenna’s life literally and try’s to heal her soul too. Jenna reveals who she really is and the monster who is hunting her. After one final attack on Jenna by Mason. Jenna with the help of Jack and Sam finally puts a stop to Masons hunt once and for all.
review 2: Just an OK read for me. It was a little longer than it needed to be. Some of the conversations seemed like filler to make the book longer and did nothing to further the story. I did like that the story took place over many months as it made me believe the love story more. That being said, the cars and shopping spree were a bit much though. Also, the 3 YO niece talked much older than a normal 3 YO. That always bothers me. Finally, how do you go months living with and sleeping with someone and not mention that you have an identical twin brother? That had me rolling my eyes as it was clearly used as a shock scenario. I do want to read Sam's story next. less
