review 1: I wanted to like this book. My first experience with Ryan was with Lucky Like Us which was the book right before this one. The premise of the story was good, but I'm finding too much head hopping. I'm having a hard time getting into the characters. Ryan also seems to be telling a lot of what the characters feel instead of showing. I loved the idea of Morgan and Tyler, I just think she(Ryan) could have done better. It is just okay.

That was the last time he saw Morgan Standish in the flesh. Morgan has been helping Tyler & his partner Sam since that day on their cases. She is in Tyler’s head and can sometimes talk directly to him in his mind. If he needs her he thinks about her and she will call him. He vents all his problems to her and she listens. All Morgan has asked of him in all the years is that it never get out that she is helping him.When a detective who is mad about the FBI & Morgan solving his case tells the press Tyler and a psychic named Morgan were working together all hell breaks loose. Tyler can feel Morgan scream and pull away from him. He feels so empty without her presence that he has felt for the last 5 years. Since Tyler has only ever received contact via the phone from Morgan he has no idea where she is and how to contact her.Her father calls and tells Tyler her last name which they had not known before and asks where she is. After they run checks on him they find out he has been in prison and holds Morgan responsible for him being there. Even with her name they can’t find her.When other psychic’s in the town are being murdered they try even harder to contact her. With every new murder they know the killer wants Morgan as he thinks she can see all that he has done. He wants to kill her last but he must kill all the others so they can’t see his past evil deeds.Morgan has been living as Matt’s (Sam’s twin brother; Sam) neighbor for the past two years. She has sworn him to secrecy about her location and not telling Tyler or Sam. After losing her connection with Tyler she has no idea until Matt tells her that there is a killer killing the off the psychic’s. She comes to town to help Sam and Tyler. But will Tyler accept her help? Can she save the next psychic from the killer? While she is helping out the FBI will her father find her? What exactly is in Morgan’s past that Tyler didn’t know because he never asked? Tyler is sweet but misguided in his relationships. He is all about setting down but at what cost? Morgan is a sweet woman. When she has a vision it drains her and leaves her exhausted. As she helps out more and more what cost is it putting on her mentally and physically? less
