review 1: A very contemporan and realistic story about a new start in life and following your dreams and passions. The intrigue, the characters and most importantly the relationships in the story are so realistically created that by the end of the book you feel like you know all of them and they are your oldest friends. It is an inspiring story and even though almost each chapter starts with a cake recipe, you will understand the meaning of all of them - not just bakeing, but life lessons.
review 2: This was a very enjoyable read. At first it reminded me of Bridget Jones' Diary with the whole sleeping with the boss who is really a butt hole and a half but that's where the similarities ended. I really liked the main character and how she found herself by pursuing her dream
... moreof opening up a bakery and following in her grandfather's steps. I really appreciated how dementia was presented in her grandfather. It was a bit fast in its progression but other than that it reminded me of how my grandmother's mind slowly lost its connection with its memory. His recipe cards were extremely sweet. I recommend this book as a feel good, well done rom-com that I could easily see turned into a movie. less

Good read but I gave it 3 stars because it was so slow moving.
