review 1: This truly is a talented author. This book, the third in the series, reunites us nicely with characters from book one, starting to round of what is part of a strong and courageous over-arching theme. The story is beautifully written and the characters are very well-observed, particularly the interactions with the dog, and the authors love of nature is clear to see. This series is one of the most captivating stories I have read in a long time, and because of its deep message about our impact on the world, it really should be read by everyone.
