review 1: I am really loving this series by J.M. Madden. This is book 2 in her romance series called Lost and Found. Each romance novel can stand on there own but the relationship of the former military personnel that makes up the agents working for the Lost and Found private investigation agency is wonderful. This is Zeke Foster story. With little to no experience with women over the past couple of years, after being injured in Afghanistan, he is brutally scarred and has no expectation that he’ll ever find a woman capable of accepting him the way he is. But he can’t help but be enamored of Ember, the waitress of a local watering hole. Ember Norton’s life has turned into one devastating catastrophe after another. When the scarred soldier with the kind eyes brings some security... more to her life, she’s afraid to trust her luck. She’s been self-sufficient for a long time. But his wounded soul calls to her and she finds herself falling for him. J.M. Madden writes wonderful strong romance stories with just the right amount of Hot Steaming Passion while bring you characters that a reader finds both believable and likable. I highly recommend Embattled Minds by J.M. Madden and can't wait to read book 3, Embattled Home, which is Chad and Lora's story. Passion I would rate this a hot 7.
review 2: Book Two of the Lost and Found Series. After having completing this story I am left re-evaluating my impression of book one. This story was so wonderfully created that I feel that Embattled Hearts has no comparison. This story is about a young woman raising her son while trying to do right by her dangerous Father. This is a highly emotional read, because the reality of the situation. My compassion-o-meter was running on high from the start of read. Each of these Lost and Found books highlights a member of the special investigations group of injured ex special forces. I am enraptured by these stories of tragedy followed by the light of a Happily Ever After. ~BookWhisperer Reviewer Jax~ less
