review 1: I love Locke & Key. This volume provides lots of background information on the creation of the keys and the birth of evil Dodge through the use of the clockwork key. Kinsey and Tyler travel back to 1775 to see the opening of the black door as well as the suffering of the Locke ancestors during the Revolutionary War. The contemporary Lockes also venture back to when their father and his group of high school friends attempted to acquire more demon metal for crafting a glamour key and ultimately invited their undoing. My only issue with this volume is that I missed spending time with Kinsey, Bode, and Tyler.
review 2: Dude! This has to be the best series ever! And the best part is that it didn't do the whole everything falls apart before the finale thing that mos
... moret graphic novels do. I mean yes things have consistently been falling apart and the tension has been building, but it's been a gradual thing where I can barely handle my excitement that's been growing. In this one you get to find out the true story of what happened when their father had the keys and how everything got messed up. It was just so good! I can't wait for the finale! less
