review 1: Vampire hunter Gideon Green never intended to become a vampire's servant. But when Anwyn, a woman with whom he shared an unforgettable night, is turned by a vampire pack, Gideon is forced into an uneasy alliance with one of the most terrifying vampires he's ever encountered: the mysterious Daegan Rei.Daegan has a vested interest in Anwyn. As Gideon and Daegan shepherd Anwyn through her dangerous validation with the Vampire Council, it's clear they must learn to trust each other. But as boundaries erode, Gideon realizes he has become irreversibly changed-by a bond with the two people in his life he can't survive without: vampires.
review 2: WOW!This book is the perfect continuation to "Vampire Mistress". It continues where book 5 ended with Gideon still trying t
... moreo decide whether to stay or not to stay with Daegan and Anwyn or will he always feel like the 3rd wheel. The story talks about sacrifices, the things one would do in the name of love, how important the sense of belonging is to an individual. Now in this book, you'll get some hot MM action - but it is told in such a beautiful way that you may find yourself cheering for the 2 male alphas. I find that although the story is still about Anwyn the highlight of it is how Gideon realizes his actual feelings towards Daegan, his internal dilemma on his yearnings and how he finally acts upon it. You also get to know more about Daegan and why he is how he is (in a way...he still remains quite a mystery all the way till the end). If i were a super alpha male guy and i somehow start developing strong feelings towards another guy, i would want to fall for someone like Daegan. He is super cool, so composed and in control. I have not read any MM eroticas or MM romance books before and basically JWH's books are my first forays into this "world". JWH writes the romance beautifully without making newbie BDSM-book readers like me feel overwhelmed. In fact, this book has inspired me to find more MM romance books and i might just start with JWH's Rough Canvas. Would i recommend this book? YES YES YES! especially if you have read Vampire Mistress. It's a must, just at least for the sweet epilogue at the end of Book 6. less
