review 1: I really liked the book The Rivalry: Mystery at the Army - Navy game by John Feinstein. Along with talking a lot about football, I believe sombody who has no interest in sports could get into this book. It continues with the same charters Steve Thomas and Susan Carol Anderson covering yet another major sports event. This time they split up and cover both Army and Navy (Stevie at Army and Susan Carol at Navy). They both make a lot of friends at both campuses a long with getting to see a game played before the big game. Susan Carol watches Navy play Norte Dame at away and then writes a column about the officials making bad calls at key moments. Four of these officials will be officiating at the Army - Navy game. The unthinkable happens when Stevie uses his genius a... morelong with with the FBI at halftime. I recommend this book to any body who likes page turning mysteries with a little bit of sports action.
review 2: I didn't like the book "The Rivalry" because it isn't even about football, its about a group of reporters who face adversity trying to keep up with the events of the Army-Navy game. The President of the United states of America comes to watch the game so they all have to have security scans, along with all of the players. Then from what I understand there is trouble with the referees and the President and the game has to be delayed and all the reporters end up getting the information they need. There isn't a good plot, and the book itself is boring and uninteresting to kids that want to read a good football book. less
