review 1: I wasn't crazy about some aspects of this book, but I truly loved the ending!!Through the book, I thought there was a pretty good balance of wins and loses, which I enjoyed!I didn't like the Graysea Essa thing (although I LOVE the spelling of Graysea!!!)....but I guess it helped make the ending even better!!I think this was really good, as was the first and second...a good conclusion to the series!!ALTHOUGH there COULD be more books...I think!!...I would like that!!I do recommend this series, I enjoyed reading it....they were really easy, fast paced books!!Oh and I really loved the character of Jesse/Codna!!....I really loved the whole story with him and Conor...that was special, I liked it!!
review 2: THE SONS OF MACHA by John Lenahan was a great finale to the
... more series. The action, mystery, and constant suspense kept me reading from chapter to chapter. Connor didn’t disappoint as he overcame one obstacle after another, throwing in his sarcasm and wit with a lot of bad timing. It was also good to see the story wrap up the way it did with character arcs coming to conclusions that were logical and satisfying at the same time. I, again, recommend another of John Lenahan’s fine works. THE SONS OF MACHA rates high on my list of books that need to be read. And, it goes on the same list as works such as the HARRY POTTER and PERCY JACKSON novels. less

Far from a perfect book but entertaining like a Percy Jackson book in a Celtic setting.

Fun, light-hearted book for teens. Good break from 'real' reading.
