review 1: Sorta cute, but quite the disappointment after having read "The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared." That was uproarious, laugh-out-loud, good fun. "The Girl" follows a similar insanely complex plot line that bores almost immediately. I actually couldn't finish the whole thing and ended up skimming the last four chapters. Don't waste your time. I wish I'd read some reviews before I ordered it for my Kindle.
review 2: Like many I was a bit worried whether I'd enjoy this after the wonderful 'The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared' but I'm pleased to say that I did enjoy this and had a good chuckle throughout. It could have done with being 100 pages or so less as it does drag on at times with absurd situation a
... morefter absurd situation. But overall, a good second novel from Jonas Jonasson :) less
