Fantastic Four by Jonathan Hickman
review 1: there is a ton of very different things going on here, with each issue almost being it's own little thing all slightly related to the Fantastic Four. Having read a lot of the later Hickman stuff BEFORE this I know where this is all going, so I found it very enjoyable going back and seeing where all these characters and things that explode later on came from and were about. I think maybe if I had read this FIRST I might not have rated this so high as I might have wondered what the fuck all of this had to do with each other, but I know that Hickman was building all these pieces for future events.
review 2: I read Vol 1 a while ago, and liked that; this next Volume was a little disappointing to me to be honest. I suppose I need to remember how far-fetched some o
... moref the First Family's adventures are (both FF hmmm). A whole civilization living underwater in Antarctica, a whole city underground, the Inhumans getting ready to take over, it's all just too much, but maybe Hickman is just trying to set up a bunch of storylines for the next while. Still, not my favourite, and I almost started just skimming by the end. less

Jonathan Hickman is a weirdo. That's why he's great for the Fantastic Four.
